The flagship J.D Wetherspoon of Scotland. The Counting House is leading the way. The name of this Wetherspoon pub recalls its former use as a bank. The premises were previously owned by The Bank Of Scotland. The building was designed for the bank by J T Ruchhead between 1867 and 1870. His Design, in the Italian Renaissance style, set the tone for the West End of George Square. The pub has retained many of its original features including safes, statues and the wonderfully grand glass dome on the ceiling.
